Escaping financial blitzkrieg

I’d been meaning to tell you about this for a while, but hadn’t got around to it.

I’ve been working on a new project here at Southbank Investment Research with Nickolai Hubble. It’s called the Daily Blitz. It’s not a new e-letter; we’re calling it a “v-letter”, or video-letter. It has a pretty simple aim, but with a very broad remit.

The premise is simple. We’re recording short (2-5 minutes) free videos daily, in which we highlight what we consider to be the most important financial idea of the day. We’re aiming to introduce you to alternative ways of viewing current events, to challenge mainstream opinion or to share potentially profitable set-ups unfolding in the market with you.

When savers face an onslaught from central banks and politics can move markets in ways statisticians wouldn’t expect occurring in 13 billion years (as you’ll discover in today’s instalment)… shelter from financial blitz can be hard to come by, and we aim to provide at least some.

Nickolai likes to think it’s the other way around – as we’re recording the videos very fast, and covering as much ground as possible in a short period of time, he reckons we’re actually conducting a “blitzkrieg” of our own. He is German, I suppose…

I’ll leave it to you to decide. And if you like it, please subscribe, it’s a service of ours we’ll be keeping completely free.

Nickolai and I will be the primary hosts, and we’ll be bringing in a few of our other editors, like Sam Volkering, Charlie Morris and Eoin Treacy and our publisher Nick O’Connor from time to time. To watch the latest video and catch up on the few we’ve put out so far, just click here.

If you like Capital & Conflict or either of our other daily letters, Exponential Investor or Southbank Investment Daily, then I reckon it’ll be right up your street.

That’s all from me for today. I’m just off to record some videos with James Allen where he lays out the most important investing lessons he’s learned from his years in the energy market, so others don’t have to learn the hard way…

Until tomorrow,

Boaz Shoshan
